Aristocrat's Leche Flan: The "Milky" Way on Earth

Not to be confused with its sister tocino del cielo (porkbelly from heaven) which has a consistency of a yema, a sticky sweet paste formed in boiling condensed milk, the leche flan is a milky custard with a caramel on top usually steamed or baked bain Marie (tray with water under the baking tray) in oval tins called llanera, except the one below.

Don't let this shape fool you. This tastes better than those eggy flans that you'll only say, "Leche", and remember, "Once is enough. Twice is too much. Thrice is a poison you'll drink before you die."

But since I was in the CCP Main Theater Lobby for Tanghalang Pilipino's 27th Season Launch where Aristocrat is one of the main sponsors and the official caterer, I just gathered enough courage to eat three of them unnoticed and free of charge. As I finished my third one, I felt I was exploring the "Milky" Way as my friend was still sitting in her own 'universe'.

I am so ecstatic in the said experience that I interrupted someone's conversation to sing my praises to which someone replied, "I-blog mo na yan ah!"

Honestly, their leche flan's worth blogging for, anyway.

Available for only Php 55.
